WHAT’S BEING OFFERED:

Intro to Flexibility: This foundational class introduces students to basic stretching + flexibility training techniques. Students will learn safe and effective methods to improve range of motion and comfortability in creating shapes with the body, preparing them for more advanced movements as the course progresses.

Intro to Backbends: Explore the fundamentals of backbending, focusing on proper alignment and technique. This class aims to increase spinal flexibility and strength, laying the groundwork for deeper backbend variations.

Intro to Splits: Designed for beginners, this class covers the basics of achieving front and side splits. Through targeted stretches and conditioning and exercises, students will work towards safely reaching full splits.

Backbends + Splits: This combined class offers a comprehensive approach to mastering both backbends and splits, and will cover exercises and drills that help to progress both skills safely + effectively.

Conditioning + Active Flexibility: Focus on building strength and dynamic flexibility through conditioning exercises. This class includes cardio!

Floor Shapes Lab: Explore various floor-based poses and transitions, enhancing fluidity and control. Students will combine skills and shapes we’ve covered in the course so far, as well as experiment with creative shapes, improving their versatility and expression on the floor.

Advanced Shapes Lab: For more experienced practitioners (with variations offered for all. levels) this class explores more complex poses and transitions and maneuvers on the floor. Emphasis is placed on precision, balance, and the seamless integration of advanced shapes into movement sequences.

If you want to learn how to execute deeper backbends and deeper splits, WE GOT YOU, since that is the focus of November/December training block!

This 3-week program includes 8 specialized workshops meant to be completed chronologically.

In this series, we will learn about the difference between passive and active flexibility, practice regular conditioning + training exercises, and participate in targeted workshops on the weekend to hone skills such as backbends, splits, chest stands and more.
